Senior Estimator

Pinnacle are looking for an Estimator with a background in civil engineering on groundworks Projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional or a developing estimator looking to build their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

While a strong civils/groundworks background is preferred, we are open to candidates with transferable estimating experience from related sectors, as well as junior estimators who demonstrate the right attitude and willingness to learn, who have experience on Groundwork projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for groundworks and civil engineering projects

* Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare tenders

* Source and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations

* Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options

* Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the tender process

* Support the handover of successful bids to the operations team

About You:

* Experience in estimating within civils, groundworks, or a closely related sector

* Strong numerical and analytical skills

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

* Good communication and organisational skills

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with estimating software is an advantage)

* A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop

Desirable (but not essential):

* Degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar

* Experience working on residential, commercial, or infrastructure groundworks projects

Salary is upto £65,000 depending on experience.
