Senior Building Surveyor

The Opportunity

We’re working with a well-established and highly respected property and construction consultancy to recruit a Senior Building Surveyor for their Exeter office.

The Role

As a Senior Building Surveyor, you’ll deliver a broad range of surveying and project management services across a varied and engaging portfolio. Projects span sectors including education, commercial, retail, and care, offering both scale and diversity.

Key responsibilities include:
Delivering a full range of professional building surveying services
Managing refurbishment and improvement projects from inception through to completion
Acting as lead consultant and primary point of contact for clients
Preparing specifications, reports, and technical documentation
Undertaking contract administration and project management duties
Working closely with internal teams and external consultants
Ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and to a high standard This role offers full project lifecycle involvement, giving you the chance to take genuine ownership and pride in your work.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for an experienced and confident Chartered Building Surveyor who can demonstrate:

MRICS status (essential)
Proven experience delivering professional services and project management
Strong technical knowledge of refurbishment and asset improvement works
CAD proficiency
Revit experience (desirable, not essential)
Excellent communication skills and confidence in client-facing settings
