Junior Project Planner

Boyd Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading Mechanical & Electrical contractor to recruit a Junior Project Planner based in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop a career in project planning within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

The Role

As a Junior Project Planner, you will support the planning team in delivering high-quality project schedules across a range of engineering and construction projects. You will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced planners and project managers, contributing to the successful delivery of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules

Monitor project progress and update plans accordingly

Support the analysis of project performance and reporting

Work closely with project teams to gather data and track milestones

Identify potential risks and delays, proposing mitigation strategies

Ensure planning processes align with company and industry standards

Requirements

Degree or HND in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline

Strong analytical and organisational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)

Familiarity with planning software (e.g., ASTA or MS Project) 

Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
