Mechanical Project Manager – Building Services / M&E Contractor

A respected M&E Contractor is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead the delivery of a project in York.

This is a good opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a busy contractor with a healthy order book. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the mechanical package from site setup through to final handover, ensuring safe, efficient and commercially sound delivery.

The Role

Take full responsibility for the mechanical delivery of a project in York

*

Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site labour

*

Coordinate installation works in line with project programme

*

Ensure quality, health and safety and technical standards are maintained

*

Liaise with clients, consultants and the wider delivery team

*

Monitor progress and resolve site and coordination issues

*

Support commercial control through careful management of variations, progress and procurement

Requirements

*

Previous experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within Building Services / M&E

*

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical installations

*

Experience managing projects on commercial, industrial or similar building services schemes

*

Strong organisational and communication skills

*

Able to manage programme, cost awareness and client-facing responsibilities

*

Full UK driving licence
