Quantity Surveyor
Quantity Surveyor – Refurbishment & Façade Projects
South Wales or Bristol | Fully remote
An established construction business is expanding its refurbishment and asset refresh division and is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support a growing portfolio of high‑rise and complex residential projects across the South of the UK.
This role sits within a specialist team delivering façade upgrades, recladding, life-safety works and internal refurbishments to existing buildings, often within live environments. This position offers full commercial involvement from early-stage estimating through to final accounts, providing real ownership and visibility across projects.
The Opportunity
You’ll be involved in a diverse range of refurbishment and improvement works, including:
* High‑rise façade and building envelope replacements
* Fire compartmentation and life-safety upgrades
* Internal refurbishments of rooms and communal/amenity spaces
* Projects within occupied residential buildings
The division is in a period of accelerated growth, making this an excellent time to join and contribute to shaping how projects are delivered commercially.
What Makes This Role Stand Out?
* End-to-end commercial involvement across the project lifecycle
* Varied and technically engaging projects, rather than repetitive new-build work
* A growing, well-supported business unit with long-term commitment
* High levels of autonomy, trust and flexibility
Location & Working Pattern
* South Wales is preferred, but candidates based in Bristol or the wider South West are also well suited to cover the regional workload
* Predominantly home-based, with flexible working hours
* Site visits and team meetings as required (all business travel fully expensed from home)
* Access to multiple UK offices and operational hubs if desired
About You
This role suits a Quantity Surveyor who is comfortable working autonomously and proactively, with the confidence to engage effectively with project teams, consultants and supply chain partners.
Key experience includes:
* Previous experience within a Quantity Surveying / commercial role
* A good understanding of construction technology, procurement routes and CVR processes
* Ability to manage workload independently while coordinating with multiple stakeholders
Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience in façade, recladding or refurbishment projects
* Background in new-build environments to support technical and commercial understanding
What’s On Offer
* Salary up to £55,000
* Company car or car allowance (salary sacrifice options available following probation)
* Discretionary annual bonus
* 25 days annual leave (increasing with service) plus bank holidays
* Health cash plan and life assurance
* Contributory pension scheme
* Fully remote, flexible working model
* Ongoing professional development and career support
* All required travel fully expensed
Why Apply?
This is a rare opportunity to join a refresh-focused division within a financially secure and forward-thinking organisation, offering flexibility, autonomy and long-term progression — alongside technically interesting projects.
If you’re a Quantity Surveyor based in South Wales or Bristol and want broader project exposure, improved work-life balance and the chance to make a real impact within a growing team, this role is well worth exploring
