💰 £55,000 – £70,000 (dependent on experience)
We are working on behalf of a well-established, privately owned principal contractor to appoint an Intermediate Estimator to join their growing commercial team.
This is a confidential opportunity with a respected, family-run business that has been delivering high-quality fit-out and refurbishment projects across Greater London and the wider UK for several decades. With an annual turnover of approximately £10m, the company specialises in shop fitting, office fit-out, and hospitality projects, and also benefits from in-house bespoke joinery manufacturing capabilities.
 
The Role As an Intermediate Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, supporting the delivery of competitive and accurate tenders across a range of commercial fit-out projects.
Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
Analysing drawings, specifications, and project requirements
Sourcing and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
Assisting with value engineering and cost planning
Supporting senior estimators and commercial leads
Attending site visits and pre-tender meetings where required  
About You We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented estimator who is looking to progress within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key requirements:

3–6 years’ experience in estimating within the fit-out or refurbishment sector
Experience across commercial projects (office, retail, or hospitality preferred)
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing
Ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation
Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills
Proficiency in estimating software and Excel
