Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering – Manchester

One of the Uks major blue-chip contractors is strengthening its commercial team across the North and we’re recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor who can take ownership, bring solid highways or civils experience, and help deliver some of the region’s most high‑profile schemes.

They are looking for someone to initially commercially lead a high profile, £10m public‑realm transformation including new landscaping, improved lighting, CCTV upgrades, a multi‑agency base, events space, and enhanced community facilities. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to move onto major highways projects as their northern pipeline continues to grow.

* Leading commercial management on complex civils and public‑realm packages

* Managing cost control, forecasting, procurement and subcontractor accounts

* Working closely with operational teams to support delivery and manage change

* Building strong relationships with clients, partners and local authorities

* Supporting ECI stages and helping shape project strategy

* Providing guidance to QSs and contributing to a high‑performing commercial team

They’re keen to speak to candidates with a strong background in highways, civils, or public‑realm projects with experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or a confident Quantity Surveyor ready to step up.
