Salary: £50k – £60k DOE
Monday-Friday, 8:30am – 5pm
33 days' holiday inclusive of bank holidays, company pension, Private Medical Insurance, Life Assurance Scheme
About the Role
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for compiling accurate, compliant and competitive tenders for ongoing projects. Working closely with the Senior Estimator, commercial teams, procurement and business development, you will support the full tender lifecycle from PQQ and ITT stage through to project handover.
Key Responsibilities
Create, manage and monitor budgets for tenders, pitches and proposals
Prepare estimates for PQQs, ITTs, pitches and proposals in collaboration with marketing and business development teams
Compile competitive and compliant tenders within agreed deadlines
Undertake pre-handover budget preparation and guided value engineering exercises
Input post-handover budgets and data onto internal systems accurately
Track and manage tender opportunities, recording outcomes and progress
Attend estimating and handover meetings, ensuring all information is agreed and captured
Liaise with commercial, contracts, procurement, finance, suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate labour and materials pricing
Maintain and update subcontractor, supplier and client information on internal systems
Support the creation of initial project programmes for handover to contracts teams
Skills & Qualifications
Working toward an industry-recognised qualification such as IOB or RICS
CSCS basic card
Strong programme and project coordination ability
Advanced Microsoft Excel user with strong numerical and analytical skills
Competent user of MS Word, MS Project and Microsoft Outlook
