Construction Estimator

CNX Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected construction business to recruit an experienced Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to join a dynamic team, contributing to a strong pipeline of diverse and high-quality projects across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects

* Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates

* Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations and ensure best value

* Identify and evaluate project risks and opportunities

* Collaborate with internal teams including project managers and commercial staff

* Maintain and update cost databases and estimating tools

* Support tender submissions and post-tender negotiations

Requirements

* Proven experience in an estimating role within the construction industry

* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations

* Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail

* Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively

* Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office

* Strong communication and negotiation skills

Desirable

* Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar

* Experience working on commercial, residential, or mixed-use projects
