Site Agent

A leading multi-million pound civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Agent to support a portfolio of major infrastructure projects across the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business delivering complex schemes within heavy civils, RC structures, and water treatment environments.

The Role

As Site Agent, you will take ownership of on-site delivery, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will act as the key link between site teams, subcontractors, and senior management, driving progress while maintaining strict compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

– Oversee day-to-day site operations across RC structures, water treatment schemes, and associated civils works
– Lead site teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
– Prepare, review, and implement Method Statements, RAMs (Risk Assessments & Method Statements), and Work Package Plans
– Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
– Manage subcontractors, labour, plant, and materials
– Monitor progress, produce reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders
– Maintain quality assurance and ensure all works meet specification

Requirements

– Proven experience as a Site Agent within heavy civils projects
– Strong background in reinforced concrete (RC) structures and/or water treatment schemes
– Excellent knowledge of Method Statements, RAMs, and Work Package Plans
– SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid qualifications
– Strong leadership and communication skills
– Ability to work autonomously in a freelance capacity
