Francesca’s Recruitment Ltd is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a respected and expanding engineering consultancy based in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys delivering high‑quality structural solutions across multiple residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
*
Lead structural design work across residential developments
*
Produce safe, compliant and cost‑effective engineering solutions
*
Review drawings, calculations and technical documentation
*
Collaborate closely with Clients, Developers and internal teams
*
Support, guide and mentor junior engineers
*
Manage workloads effectively to meet project deadlines
Essential Requirements
*
Minimum 3 years’ UK structural engineering experience
*
Strong background in the residential sector
*
Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (Chartered or working toward ICE/IStructE)
*
Excellent knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards and Building Regulations
*
Proven experience designing in RC, steel, timber and masonry
*
Understanding of geotechnical principles and foundation design
*
Competent in AutoCAD 2D, with experience using Tekla Tedds and Masterseries
*
Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
*
Ability to work independently and within a small team
*
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
*
Right to work in the UK
