Voids Surveyor

About the Role

Elevate Projects are working with a local authority within the geographical area of Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire.

We are looking for an experienced Void Surveyor to join our team and conduct thorough inspections of void properties within our local authority. Your role will involve assessing the condition of empty residential properties, identifying necessary repairs, and ensuring they are ready for reoccupation in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out detailed surveys of void properties to assess their condition and identify repair needs.

* Provide comprehensive reports outlining required works, including structural, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance issues.

* Ensure properties meet health, safety, and compliance standards, including Awaab’s Law where applicable.

* Liaise with contractors, housing officers, and other stakeholders to facilitate efficient turnaround of void properties.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Void Surveyor or in a similar role, with a strong background in residential property inspections.

* Knowledge of building regulations, health and safety standards, and compliance requirements, including Awaab’s Law.

* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce clear, concise reports.

* Strong communication and organisational skills.

* Relevant qualifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB, or equivalent) or experience from being on the tools are desirable.
