Senior Estimator – Specialist Drylining & Interiors Contractor
Location: Harlow, Essex

The Company:
A fast-growing specialist subcontractor delivering high-quality drylining, ceilings, SFS, screeding and internal finishing packages across major residential, student accommodation, and commercial developments throughout London and the South East.

Established as part of a wider construction group, the business has quickly built a strong reputation for delivering large-scale new build schemes, working with leading main contractors and developers on technically demanding projects.

With a team of experienced industry professionals and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are continuing to expand their commercial and pre-construction function.

The Role:
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to take ownership of pricing and tendering activities across multiple projects.

This is a key position within the commercial team, responsible for producing accurate, competitive tenders and supporting the business in securing high-value work.

Key Responsibilities

* Preparing detailed cost estimates for drylining, SFS, ceilings, and associated packages

* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation

* Producing accurate take-offs and BOQs

* Engaging with supply chain and subcontractors for pricing input

* Identifying value engineering opportunities and risk assessment

* Working closely with the commercial and operational teams during tender handover

* Attending pre- and post-tender meetings with clients and main contractors

* Supporting bid strategy and commercial decision-making

Requirements:

* Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within drylining, interiors, or specialist subcontracting

* Strong understanding of drylining, SFS, ceilings and internal packages

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

* Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial skills

* Experience working on large-scale residential or commercial new build projects

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

* Proficient in estimating software and Excel
