Quantity Surveyor – Specialist Drylining & Interiors Contractor
Location: Harlow, Essex

The Company:
A rapidly expanding specialist subcontractor delivering drylining, ceilings, SFS, screeding and internal finishing packages across major residential and commercial developments throughout London and the South East.

Part of a wider construction group, the business has developed a strong reputation for delivering large-scale new build schemes, working closely with leading main contractors and developers on complex, high-volume projects.

With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth, they are now strengthening their commercial team.

The Role:
They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the commercial management of multiple projects from pre-contract through to final account.

This is a key role within the business, offering exposure to high-value residential and commercial schemes, with clear progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Managing all commercial aspects of assigned projects

* Preparing, reviewing, and submitting valuations and applications for payment

* Managing subcontractor packages including procurement and payments

* Pricing and managing variations and change control

* Monitoring project costs and cash flow forecasting

* Preparing and agreeing final accounts

* Working closely with project managers and site teams to ensure cost control

* Supporting tender and pre-construction activities where required

Requirements:

* Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within drylining, interiors, or specialist subcontracting

* Strong knowledge of drylining, SFS, ceilings, or internal packages (preferred)

* Experience working on residential or commercial new build projects

* Good understanding of contract administration (JCT preferred)

* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills

* Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (preferred)
