Site Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways scheme in Birmingham. This is a long-term opportunity offering 18 months of consistent work on a high-profile infrastructure project.

Key Details:

* Location: Birmingham

* Start Date: Tuesday 5th May

* Duration: 18 months

* Rate: £300 – £350 per day

* Contract: Outside IR35

Responsibilities:

* Setting out and surveying for highways works

* Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with design specifications

* Managing and interpreting technical drawings and documentation

* Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and project managers

* Maintaining accurate site records and reports

* Supporting quality assurance and health & safety compliance

Requirements:

* Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on highways projects

* Strong setting out and surveying skills

* Proficiency with relevant equipment (e.g. GPS, total stations)

* Good understanding of highways specifications and standards

* CSCS card (essential)

* SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable)

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
