BIM Manager
Client: Our client is a medium sized, privately owned M&E Contractor who has been successfully operating within London for over 50 years. With a real family feel to the business, the owners still operate out of the head office. They pride themselves on delivering a quality install and therefore almost all their turnover comes off the back of repeat business with some of the capitals top principle contractors. Following an increase in workflow, they are now looking to appoint a BIM Manager.
Responsibilities of the role:
* Oversee coordination of all MEP design information to ensure design is delivered and install-ready
* Manage and review external consultant models and ensure alignment with project and installation needs
* Support the wider delivery team with digital models, accurate drawings, and technical outputs for procurement and installation
* Liaise closely with MEP engineers, construction managers, and subcontractors to identify risks and resolve clashes early
* Monitor BIM execution plans and compliance, including model quality, standards, and naming conventions
* Promote the use of BIM to support project planning
* Visit site regularly to understand installation practices
* Contribute to knowledge sharing, software development, and upskilling across the BIM function
The ideal candidate
* Will have proven work experience as a BIM manager or similar role
* Excellent project management skills
* Good understanding of drafting techniques and engineering terminologies
* Ability and willingness to train and mentor staff
* Excellent leadership and organisational skills
