Rate of pay: £17.47 PAYE per hour OR £22.52 Umbrella
Location: Reading RG1
Job Type: Temporary till the start of November 2026
Working Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday (Monday in-office, rest remote)We are seeking a Customer Relations Officer to join a team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial for managing freedom of information requests, inquiries, and other customer relations functions including complaint management and data protection. The ideal candidate will handle a high volume of casework and respond in a highly articulate manner, demonstrating advanced grammatical and language comprehension skills.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
Act as the first point of contact for service users, parliament members, and MPs via calls, emails, and letters, providing timely and accurate information.
Manage a caseload of complex customer inquiries, ensuring prompt and correct handling by applying a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and procedures.
Undertake quality checks to ensure management responses are clear, complete, and meet defined standards.
Liaise with various departments to collate and address responses to customer inquiries efficiently.
Provide complainants with appropriate advice and support, keeping them informed about the progress of their inquiries.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Demonstrable experience in customer relations within a regulated environment.
Proficient in IT with good skills in Excel, CRM, and EDMS systems.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to manage complex information.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a multi-disciplinary environment.
