Overview

A leading UK manufacturer and solutions provider specialising in water management, drainage, and construction infrastructure systems, delivering projects across residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors nationwide.

The business designs and supplies sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), below-ground drainage, stormwater management, and water treatment solutions, supporting major housebuilders, developers, and infrastructure schemes.

Strong market position. Established client base. Technical-led delivery.

The Role

You’ll take commercial responsibility for one or more live drainage and water management schemes, reporting into a Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

* Managing subcontractor and supplier packages

* Producing CVRs and cost reports

* Variations and change control

* Procurement of materials and specialist installation subcontractors

* Client applications and payment notices

* Supporting tender pricing and value engineering opportunities

* Working closely with design, technical, and site teams

* Commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion

You’ll be commercially driving projects, not just reporting numbers.

Project Exposure

* Sustainable drainage systems (SuDS)

* Surface and foul water drainage

* Stormwater attenuation and management systems

* Below-ground drainage infrastructure

* Water treatment and filtration systems

* Residential and infrastructure-led developments

* Integrated water management solutions

What They’re Looking For

* QS experience within civils, infrastructure, utilities, or drainage systems

* Experience working with materials-led or supplier-led projects (beneficial)

* Comfortable managing packages with limited supervision

* Understanding of NEC contracts (JCT beneficial depending on project)

* Strong commercial awareness with a technical appreciation of construction systems

This Would Suit:

* An Assistant QS ready to step up

* Or a QS already managing their own schemes

* Candidates from civils, utilities, or drainage backgrounds looking to move into a solutions-led environment

Why This Role

* £40,000 – £60,000 depending on experience

* Clear progression within a growing infrastructure business

* Exposure to large-scale UK-wide developments and water management projects

* Opportunity to work with a market-leading technical specialist in infrastructure systems

* Stable business with strong long-term demand driven by sustainability and regulation
