About the Role
We are seeking an experienced MEP Manager to join our team on a high-profile £20 million commercial project in Birmingham. This is a technically complex, high-spec development incorporating smart building technologies, offering an excellent opportunity to work on a cutting-edge installation.
The successful candidate will take ownership of all Mechanical and Electrical aspects of the project, managing subcontractors and ensuring delivery to the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all Mechanical & Electrical packages on site
Coordinate and supervise MEP subcontractors to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
Act as the key point of contact for all MEP-related activities
Ensure integration and commissioning of smart building systems
Review and manage technical submittals, drawings, and specifications
Monitor progress against programme and drive performance on site
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company standards
Work closely with the wider project team to resolve technical and coordination issues
Support commissioning, handover, and final delivery
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience as an MEP Manager on commercial construction projects
Strong background in managing subcontracted M&E packages
Experience working on high-tech or smart building installations
Solid understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems
Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving capability
Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, site-based environment
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant degree or qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
SMSTS or equivalent health & safety certification
Experience on projects of similar value and complexity
