Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing and well-established business operating across civils, demolition, and haulage.

Following the departure of a key senior figure, the business is now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the commercial function and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

This is a unique opportunity offering autonomy, flexibility, and the chance to shape and develop commercial processes within a forward-thinking contractor.

The Role

This is a commercially focused position, centred around cost management, tendering, and financial control across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Taking full ownership of the commercial management of civils and demolition projects

Preparing, reviewing, and managing estimates, tenders, and pricing submissions

Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts

Producing and maintaining cost reports, CVRs, and financial forecasts

Monitoring project performance to ensure delivery within budget and margin expectations

Supporting procurement processes and managing subcontractor accounts

Liaising with clients and stakeholders on all commercial matters

Identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance and profitability

Supporting the wider business with work-winning and pricing strategies

What We’re Looking For

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor within:

* Civil Engineering

* Demolition

* Groundworks / Infrastructure

* Strong commercial expertise in:

* Cost control & reporting

* Tendering & estimating

* Variations & final accounts

* Ability to operate independently and take ownership of the commercial function

* Confident in client-facing environments and commercial negotiations

* Proactive, organised, and capable of hitting the ground running

* Full UK Driving Licence
