Our client is looking to appoint an Junior Operations manager to oversee carpentry works with a focus on fire door compliance and associated projects.

This role is suited to someone stepping up from a supervisory or site-based position who wants to take on more responsibility across both delivery and operations.

The Role:

Oversee multiple carpentry and fire door projects from mobilisation through to completion
Manage site teams and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered on time and to required standards
Produce programmes of works and coordinate day-to-day site activity
Ensure all works are compliant with relevant standards, including BM TRADA requirements
Carry out quality checks, audits and sign-off of completed works
Attend client and site meetings, acting as a key point of contact
Support with pricing works, building schedules of rates and reviewing tender information
Prepare applications for payment and maintain accurate project records
Order materials and manage site stock levels
Work closely with H&S teams to ensure RAMS and site compliance are maintainedRequirements:

Background in carpentry or joinery, ideally with fire door experience
Experience in a supervisory, foreman or site-based leadership role
Good understanding of fire door compliance and installation standards
Ability to manage teams, programmes and client expectations
Commercial awareness with some exposure to pricing or estimating advantageous
