Fire & Passive Site Manager – Temp (Day Rate) Location: Leeds (LS4 – Mobile Across Leeds) Day Rate: Competitive (DOE – TBC)

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established and growing fire protection contractor on an ongoing temporary basis. The business delivers passive and active fire protection works across a strong pipeline of secured contracts, with this particular role based on a long-term commercial project in Leeds requiring an immediate start.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for overseeing day-to-day site operations across a fire door, fire stopping and active fire works project in Leeds. This is a mobile role covering sites across approximately 15 miles around the Leeds city centre, so a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

You will work closely with the Project Manager, managing labour, costs and materials, signing off works, and ensuring all operations are delivered safely, on time, to budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee day-to-day site operations across passive and active fire protection works

* Assist the Project Manager with programme delivery and project planning

* Manage labour, subcontractors and costs across multiple sites

* Organise materials ordering and ensure supplies are delivered in good condition

* Carry out initial project briefs and produce short-term schedules of works

* Monitor productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching to site teams

* Implement and maintain HSEQ systems across all sites

* Ensure all operatives have appropriate PPE and signage is correctly displayed

* Carry out weekly stock takes and produce weekly progress reports

* Maintain a safe environment for tenants, residents and members of the public

* Liaise with clients professionally and attend meetings as required

* Ensure all works are completed in line with compliance standards and company procedures

What We're Looking For

* Proven experience as a Site Manager within passive and active fire protection

* Strong technical understanding of fire doors, fire stopping and active fire systems

* Experience managing labour, subcontractors and site programmes

* SMSTS — required

* CSCS Card — required

* First Aid — required

* Asbestos Awareness — required

* Full UK driving licence and own vehicle — essential

* Strong communication and client-facing skills

* Ability to manage multiple sites and work under pressure
