I’m working directly with an interiors contractor who’s looking to bring in their first Quantity Surveyor having managed all commercial responsibilities in-house up to now.
 
The Role

Reporting into an operations director – leading the commercial function
• Projects from £50k – £3.5m (interior fit-out)
• Strong focus on drylining packages, alongside broader fit-out works
• Procurement, subcontractor management, CVRs, valuations, variations & reporting
• Reporting directly to the Operations Director 
What they’re looking for

Quantity Surveyor with a fit-out or drylining / subcontractor background
• Comfortable working autonomously and setting standards
• Strong across the full commercial lifecycle
• Someone who wants to grow with a business, not just sit in a role 
What they do

Drylining (walls & ceilings)
• Fire-rated partitions
• Suspended ceilings
• SFS external framing & cladding
• Plastering, screeding, decorating
• Shopfitting & Cat A/B fit-out 
Projects delivered across residential, commercial, education and interiors sectors, largely through repeat clients.
 
The Business

11-year-old interiors contractor
• No QSs currently — this is a key hire
• Laid-back, no politics environment (not a corporate setup)
• Work-from-home flexibility, with office base in Cambridge
• Urgent requirement – ready to move quickly
