Design Manager
FFW Site Services are recruiting on behalf of a valued client for an experienced Design Manager to join a well established and growing contractor delivering specialist refurbishment, remediation and external envelope projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Design Manager to join a business with a strong pipeline of work and genuine long term opportunity.
The Role
We are seeking a Design Manager with strong experience in:
* External Envelope Systems
* Cladding Systems And Remediation
* Façade Packages
* Building Safety Compliance
* Consultant Coordination
* Design Risk Management
* Programme Driven Delivery
You will manage the design process from pre construction through live delivery, ensuring information is issued on time, compliant and commercially practical.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage Internal And External Design Teams
* Coordinate Architects, Engineers And Specialist Subcontractors
* Lead Design Meetings And Drive Actions To Completion
* Review Drawings, Specifications And Technical Submissions
* Manage RFIs, Technical Queries And Approvals
* Ensure Information Is Issued In Line With Programme
* Support Procurement Of Specialist Packages
* Work Closely With Commercial, Operations And Site Teams
Experience Required
* Previous Design Manager / Technical Manager experience
* Strong knowledge of external envelope / façade systems
* Good understanding of cladding and remediation works
* Strong communication and coordination skills
* Ability to challenge design issues and add value technically
Desirable
* Knowledge of current legislation and compliance requirements relating to building safety and remediation works
* Awareness of Building Safety Act requirements
* Experience on occupied / live environment projects
* Knowledge of Homes England remediation frameworks or related schemes
