Senior Engineer

Freelance Senior Engineer – High-Rise RC Frame | Birmingham

We’re currently looking to engage an experienced Freelance Senior Engineer for a major Build-to-Rent (BTR) high-rise scheme in Birmingham.

This is a flagship project with a programme of circa 3 years, offering long-term continuity on a technically challenging reinforced concrete frame development.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of the structure and associated packages.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Overseeing and coordinating site engineering teams

* Managing and supporting subcontractors on site

* Ensuring works are delivered in line with design, programme, and quality standards

* Driving QA processes and technical compliance

* Assisting with planning, sequencing, and problem-solving on a complex high-rise build

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on high-rise RC frame projects

* Strong understanding of concrete frame construction and sequencing

* Ability to lead teams and manage multiple subcontractors

* Solid technical and QA background

* Confident working closely with Project Managers and site leadership teams
