Overview

A leading building‑services contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee mechanical installation works across a range of commercial, education, healthcare, and residential projects in Oxford. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can confidently manage site delivery from pre‑start through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day‑to‑day mechanical installation activities on site

Coordinate subcontractors, labour, materials, and plant

Ensure all works comply with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards

Lead site progress meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams

Monitor programme, quality, and health & safety performance

Review RAMS, permits, and ensure safe systems of work

Support commissioning, testing, and final handover documentation

Identify and resolve site‑based issues to maintain project momentum

Requirements

Strong background in mechanical building‑services installation

Experience managing projects in sectors such as education, healthcare, commercial, or residential

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Excellent communication and leadership skills

SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, First Aid (preferred)

Full UK driving licence
