Location: Pembroke 400kV Substation (Merlin House, Langstone Business Park)
Start Date: 05/05/2026
End Date: 18/12/2026
Duration: 7 months
Working Pattern: 5 days per week
Hours: 08:00 – 17:00
Rate: Up to £600 per day DOE
Contract Type: Temporary
IR35 Status: Inside IR35 (LTD not permitted)

Role Overview:
You will be responsible for managing commercial change processes across the project, specifically handling compensation events linked to design changes under an NEC4 Option C contract.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and the ability to operate within a fast-paced, high-value infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, price, and negotiate compensation events relating to design changes
Identify and evaluate changes in design scope and their commercial impact
Carry out measurement and take-offs of quantities
Liaise with Supply chain partners, Design consultants, Internal project teams
Prepare and present commercial submissions to the client
Lead negotiations to agree final values of change eventsIdeal Candidate:

Strong experience operating under NEC3/NEC4 contracts (Option C essential)
Proven background in change management / compensation events
Experience on National Grid or major T&D infrastructure projects highly desirable
Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
Able to manage multiple stakeholders across complex project environmentsAdditional Information:

Role is deemed inside IR35 due to supervision, direction, and control factors
Immediate requirement to support additional project capacity
