About Us:

With offices in London, Manchester and the Southwest, we specialise in Housing, Construction, Facilities Management, Property, Surveying, Health & Safety and Sales. We supply candidates from executive to operative level and are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor based in the Bristol area. 

Day to Day:
To oversee the design, costings and financials of a 3.5million£ scheme in the Bristol area.  We require applicants to have in-depth knowledge of NEC contracts and have some understanding around social housing.

Requirements (Skills & Qualifications):

NEC Contract Administration: Lead commercial management of projects ensuring full compliance with contract requirements.
Change Management: Proactively manage compensation events, variations, and early warnings to mitigate risk.
Cost Control & Forecasting: Produce accurate monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and final cost forecasts.
Procurement & Subcontractor Management: Oversee tender evaluations, contract drafting, and final account settlement with subcontractors.
Client Management: Serve as the main commercial point of contact, building strong relationships with stakeholders.
Mentorship: Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to Assistant and Intermediate Quantity Surveyors. As required.
Education: BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (or equivalent).
Professional Status: MRICS or working towards chartership is desirable.
Skills: Strong negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and proficiency in MS Excel and cost management software.
