Hours: 45 hours per week
Working Hours: 07:00 – 17:00
Location: Monk Fryston (SSER BESS Site)
Rate: £450 per day (negotiable depending on experience)
Contract Type: Temporary
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee cable installation works on a major BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) project. This is a long-term opportunity on a high-profile energy infrastructure scheme, ideal for someone with strong cable installation experience and proven site leadership capability.
Role Overview:
You will take full responsibility for supervising and delivering 33kV and LV cable installation works, ensuring activities are completed safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
This is a hands-on management role requiring strong technical understanding and the ability to lead site teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of cable installation (33kV & LV) on site
Manage site teams and subcontractors to ensure safe delivery of works
Interpret and work from drawings and cable schedules
Drive programme delivery and maintain project timelines
Ensure compliance with H&S standards
Coordinate with project stakeholders and report progress
Maintain site documentation and ensure works meet required specifications
Essential Requirements:
SMSTS
Valid CSCS Card
Demonstrable experience in cable installation (33kV / LV)
Proven experience in a Site Manager/Supervisory role
First Aid
SHEA Power
Experience on National Grid/BESS projects
Additional Information:
Long-term pipeline of work through to 2031
