Site Supervisor (Non-Working) – DX / VRF Project

Location: Sheffield (Near Meadowhall, just off M1)
Start: Within the next 4 weeks
Duration: Approx. 12 months
Rate: £250 – £270 per shift (DOE)

The Role

We are working with a specialist contractor delivering a large-scale DX / VRF installation project in Sheffield.

They are looking for a full-time non-working Site Supervisor to oversee the AC and refrigeration package on site.

This is very much a hands-on supervision role, managing engineers day to day, ensuring works are carried out safely, correctly, and in line with programme and design.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day supervision of AC / refrigeration engineers on site
• Attending and contributing to DABS meetings and site meetings
• Managing RAMS, permits, and site safety compliance
• Ensuring installation quality aligns with design and manufacturer standards
• Coordinating works and resolving issues on site
• Acting as the point of contact between site teams and project management
• Supporting smooth delivery of the programme across the full installation

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in DX / VRF or air conditioning installations
• Comfortable in a non-working supervisor role
• Confident running site and managing engineers day to day
• Strong on health & safety, RAMS and permit systems
• Able to attend and contribute to meetings with main contractor and stakeholders
• Practical, down to earth, and able to communicate effectively on site

Must Have

• SMSTS or SSSTS
• First Aid
• CSCS Card
• Proven experience supervising AC / HVAC or refrigeration installs

Ideal (Not Essential)

• Previous experience on large commercial or industrial projects
• Familiarity with DX / VRF systems
• Experience working alongside main contractors on structured sites
