Project Director – Cambridge

Ridgeway & Co are currently partnering with a number of Tier 1 and rapidly growing main contractors across Cambridge, seeking experienced Project Directors to lead the successful delivery of major, high-profile construction projects across a variety of sectors, including:

* Education (Schools & Colleges)

* Healthcare

* Laboratories & Life Sciences

* Commercial Offices

These opportunities offer competitive salaries of up to £120,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with excellent prospects for career progression within well-established and expanding organisations.

This is a senior leadership position, responsible for overseeing multiple projects or large-scale flagship developments, ensuring strategic delivery, operational excellence, and strong commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide strategic leadership across one or multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion

* Oversee Project Managers and wider delivery teams

* Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

* Drive commercial performance, including cost control and margin improvement

* Lead stakeholder engagement at senior level, including clients and consultants

* Ensure full compliance with health & safety and regulatory requirements

* Report directly to senior executives and contribute to business growth strategies

Requirements

* Proven experience in a Project Director or Senior Project Manager role within the construction industry

* Strong track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects

* Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities

* Highly commercial with strong financial and contractual understanding

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

* Relevant construction or project management qualifications
