Health & Safety Officer – North West London
Project: £50M Residential Development
Salary: £70,000 per annum
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join a major £50 million residential construction project in North West London. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in construction health and safety.
About the Role
You will be responsible for promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance across the project. Working closely with site teams and management, you will ensure all activities are carried out in line with current legislation and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement and monitor health & safety policies and procedures on site
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits
* Ensure compliance with UK health & safety legislation and company standards
* Identify hazards and implement corrective actions
* Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings
* Investigate incidents and produce detailed reports
* Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and external bodies
* Maintain accurate health & safety documentation
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Health & Safety Officer within the construction industry
* Strong knowledge of UK health & safety regulations
* NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) preferred
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture on site
