Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor
Location: Colchester, Essex
Salary/Benefits: £26k – £42k + Training & Benefits
Our client is a well-known name within the Asbestos industry, who have a strong presence across the South East and East Anglia. They are seeking a qualified and self-sufficient Asbestos Surveyor, who can confidently complete the full range of asbestos surveys. You will be working across predominantly domestic and local authority premises, across the region. Our client can offer fantastic further training opportunities for the successful candidate, including into the analytical and project management. You will be travelling across: Colchester, Braintree, Felixstowe, Sudbury, Haverhill, Bishop’s Stortford, Ipswich, Clacton-on-Sea, Witham, Maldon, Chelmsford, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Harlow, Diss, Stowmarket, Ely, Thetford, Swaffham, Norwich, Wymondham, Dereham, Wisbech, King’s Lynn, Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, Beccles.
Experience / Qualifications:
* Hands-on experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS accredited company
* Will hold the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent as a minimum
* It would be advantageous to hold further industry qualifications, including: CoCA or BOHS / RSPH modules
* Good industry technical knowledge, including: HSG 264 and UKAS guidelines
* Strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills
* Hardworking attitude
The Role:
* Conducting thorough asbestos surveys (including demolition, refurbishment and management)
* Obtaining ACM samples from site and delivering to the lab for analysis
* Producing site-specific technical reports
* Creating detailed schematic drawings
* Being a key point of contact for clients, providing ongoing support and advice
* Adhering to safety industry guidelines
* Ensuring to meet / exceed personal targets
* Representing the company in a professional manner
