Salary/Benefits: £26k – £32k + Training & Benefits
A leading name within the Asbestos industry is recruiting for a highly technical and organised Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their outfit in the South East. The ideal candidate will have a thorough approach to their work and will be able to integrate well into the existing team. As a minimum, candidates must hold the BOHS P401 ticket and will be able to demonstrate strong hands-on experience. You will be joining an independent outfit, who maintain excellent service standards in addition to a successful client portfolio. Our client is offering excellent salaries and benefits packages.

Experience / Qualifications:
* Proven experience working as an Asbestos Lab Analyst
* Competent in working in accordance with UKAS and HSG guidelines
* Able to prioritise own workload
* Excellent technical knowledge
* Strong literacy and numeracy skills
* Highly proficient in using IT software (such as: Microsoft applications)
The Role:
* Analysing ACM samples through stereo-microscopy and PLM methods
* Confirming the presence and type of asbestos fibres within samples
* Receiving samples in from site, logging and storing correctly
* Updating internal databases with results
* Issuing analytical certificates to clients
* Working to set company and personal targets
* Maintaining lab equipment
* Carrying out quality assurance checks and auditing
* Supporting the company in maintaining UKAS accreditation
