A well-established National Tier 2 Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its North West division working on projects across the United Utilities & Cumbria region. The role will lead the successful delivery of a varied portfolio of United Utilities water infrastructure schemes across the region.

Shaft Sinking
Micro Tunnelling & Trenchless Works
Deep Drainage & Utilities
Reinforced Concrete Structures
Water & Wastewater Infrastructure
Pumping Stations & Associated Civils
Access Works & Site Infrastructure
Role & Responsibilities:
* Overall responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of multiple water infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to completion
* Managing site teams including Site Managers, Engineers, Foremen, Operatives, and specialist subcontractors
* Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to required quality standards
* Developing and maintaining project programmes, resource plans, and cost controls
* Managing procurement of subcontractors, plant, labour, and materials
* Leading progress meetings with clients, supply chain partners, and internal stakeholders
* Implementing and enforcing Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality procedures across all sites
* Reviewing RAMS, construction methodologies, and temporary works requirements
* Producing and presenting regular progress reports, forecasts, and commercial updates
* Building strong working relationships with United Utilities representatives and key stakeholders
* Driving performance, productivity, and continuous improvement across the project portfolio
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Project Manager on Civil Engineering or Water Infrastructure projects
* Strong background in shaft sinking, micro tunnelling, deep drainage, and reinforced concrete structures
* Experience working on United Utilities or similar water authority frameworks is highly desirable
* SMSTS
* CSCS Black Card
* Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and programmes
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage multiple sites across the North West region
* Full UK Driving Licence
