Senior Project Manager (Mechanical Bias) – Southern Region

About the Role
We are seeking a mechanically biased Senior Project Manager to lead the 'cradle to grave' delivery of district heating, energy centres, and large-scale decarbonisation projects (e.g. with clietns such as NHS, TfL). You will take full ownership of the mechanical scope, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead delivery of mechanically focused energy projects from design through to commissioning

* Manage programmes, budgets, risks, and resources across multi-disciplinary teams

* Oversee mechanical design coordination, installation, and commissioning

* Drive construction delivery, ensuring HSE compliance and industry best practice

* Act as primary client interface, providing clear reporting on progress and risk

* Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet programme and budget

* Support bids and pre-construction with technical/mechanical input

* Identify efficiencies to improve delivery and contract performance

About You

* Proven track record delivering mechanical (building services) or M&E projects (energy/infrastructure preferred)

* Relevant mechanical qualification

* Strong mechanical bias (e.g. HVAC, district heating, pipework, energy centres)

* Experience leading site teams, subcontractors, and engineering functions

* Good commercial and programme management awareness

* Familiar with PM methodologies (PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile) and project tools

* Full UK driving licence
