Site Manager
Job Title: Site Manager (Temporary – 5 Month Contract)
Project: School Extension (Live Environment)
Location: Nottingham
Start Date: Tuesday 5th May
Contract Length: 5 Months
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a school extension project in Nottingham, working within a live educational environment. This role requires a confident leader who can manage site activities efficiently while maintaining strict health & safety standards and minimising disruption to the school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget
* Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
* Maintain a safe and compliant site, particularly within a live school environment
* Liaise with the client, school staff, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
* Monitor progress, quality, and performance on site
* Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations and company procedures
* Maintain site documentation including RAMS, permits, and reports
Essential Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects (education sector experience advantageous)
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
* CSCS Card
* First Aid at Work Certification
* Enhanced DBS (mandatory – must be current or able to provide immediately)
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Experience working in live environments is essential
Desirable:
* Previous experience on school or public sector projects
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
