Site Supervisor

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations on a solar farm project. This is a fully field-based role, ideal for someone who thrives working outdoors and actively supporting site teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while also assisting the workforce and operating machinery when required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate daily site activities on the solar farm
* Provide direct support and guidance to site operatives and subcontractors
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations and company policies
* Actively participate in site work, including assisting the workforce where needed
* Operate plant and machinery as required
* Monitor progress and report on project milestones to management
* Conduct site briefings and toolbox talks
* Maintain site records and ensure compliance with project specifications
* Identify and resolve on-site issues efficiently
Requirements:
* Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification – essential
* Proven experience as a Site Supervisor within construction or renewable energy projects (solar preferred)
* Strong understanding of health & safety practices on construction sites
* Ability to operate machinery and plant equipment
* Hands-on, proactive approach with strong leadership skills
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
* Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday: Standard site hours
* Saturdays: 8:00am – 1:00pm (paid as a full 10-hour day)
