Preconstruction Planner

We're working with an outstanding contractor a recognised leader in their field to recruit a Preconstruction Planner / Engineer as they continue to grow their precon team. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for someone ready to step away from the day-to-day pressures of site life and settle into a pre-construction role. Or perhaps you're already there and looking for something better.

The business delivers interesting and challenging projects up to £50m, and has built a strong reputation for the quality of their work and the way they look after their people. Progression is genuine, you’re not just a number and the flexibility on offer is rare in this industry.

You'll support the operations and preconstruction teams as well as engaging directly with clients to shape how projects are won and built. Day-to-day you'll be getting stuck into:

* Developing construction methodology for bids

* Producing Clause 31 programmes

* Contributing to win strategies and tender submissions

* Engaging with clients throughout the tender process

The role suits someone with a solid technical background who knows their way around a project from an engineering point of view. Ideally you will have:

* 7+ years of experience in a planning or engineering role

* A good mix of project types and environments under your belt

* Comfortable working at pre-construction or confident making that transition from site

* Strong communication skills to hold your own with clients and bid teams
