Contracts Manager

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor, delivering high-quality projects across education, healthcare, and life sciences sectors. Based in Cambridge, you will take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery from pre-construction through to completion.

This is a key leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong track record managing complex builds across regulated sectors.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee and manage multiple construction projects across education, healthcare, and life sciences

* Lead project teams to deliver schemes on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

* Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and company procedures

* Manage client relationships, acting as the main point of contact throughout the project lifecycle

* Monitor project performance, budgets, and programmes, implementing improvements where necessary

* Coordinate with commercial, design, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery

* Support pre-construction activities including planning, programming, and risk management

About You

* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager within the construction industry

* Strong background delivering projects in education, healthcare, or life sciences (highly desirable)

* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

* Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

* Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability

* Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
