We are seeking an experienced Banksman / Traffic Marshal to support contractors for a public sector organisation.
This role involves managing vehicle movements and contractor coordination within a public realm environment, making it a varied and sometimes complex position that requires strong communication and safety awareness.
Your new role

Acting as an effective liaison between contractors and the day‑to‑day operation
Managing the safe movement of vehicles through the public realm into the contractor site compound
Escorting large vehicles and overseeing deliveries
Maintaining clear communication between all contractors and staff
Attending weekly operational meetings
Collating weekly look‑ahead schedules for vehicle movements and deliveries
Implementing and maintaining a safe system of transport across the public realm for all vehiclesWhat you'll need to succeed

CPCS Card (Blue preferred)
Demonstrable awareness of HSE regulations
Knowledge of standard construction hand signals and procedures
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Physically fit and highly alert to potential risks
Experience working within public-facing / public realm environments desirableWhat you'll get in return
This is a 6 month contract with the opportunity for further work with a well-established contractor.
