Site Supervisor
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Site Supervisor to work with a Main contractor on a Civils project in Coventry. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in construction and civils, who can oversee day-to-day site activities and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervising day-to-day site activities across construction and civils projects
* Managing operatives, subcontractors, and site visitors to ensure safe and efficient working practices
* Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with project plans, specifications, and programme requirements
* Monitoring site progress and reporting updates to project and management teams
* Conducting site briefings, toolbox talks, and daily coordination meetings
* Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times on site
* Monitoring quality of works and ensuring tasks are completed to the required standard
* Identifying and escalating site issues, delays, or risks where necessary
* Assisting with the coordination of materials, plant, and labour on site
* Ensuring site records, permits, and relevant documentation are completed accurately
* Promoting a positive site culture focused on safety, quality, and productivity
Key Requirements
* Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Foreman or similar within a construction or civils environment
* Strong understanding of day-to-day site operations and workforce coordination
* Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice on site
* Ability to manage subcontractors, site teams, and daily activities effectively
* SMSTS / SSSTS, First Aid and CSCS Required
* Full UK driving licence preferred
