Site Manager

Freelance Site Manager – South Wales

Location: Porthcawl and Cardiff
Rate: £250 per day
Duration: 3 weeks initially in Portchawl, then ongoing work around Cardiff
Start Date: Tuesday 5th

We’re looking for a Freelance Site Manager to start on a short‑term project in Porthcawl, with immediate follow‑on work available on similar projects around Cardiff. Ideally from a fit-out background but other backgrounds also considered.

The initial Porthcawl job is nearing completion. The groundworks are already finished, so the role will focus on managing subcontractors, overseeing finishing trades, and safely driving the works through to completion. Further work with the same contractor will follow straight on once this phase is complete.

The Role

* Day‑to‑day site management and coordination

* Managing and supervising subcontractors on site

* Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a good standard

* Maintaining site safety, inductions and daily briefs

* Liaising with operatives, subcontractors and the wider project team

This is a hands‑on Site Manager role, ideal for someone who’s comfortable running smaller projects and seeing them through the final stages.

Requirements

* SMSTS

* First Aid at Work

* Asbestos Awareness

* Fire Marshal

* Previous experience working as a Site Manager on construction/refurbishment projects

* Reliable, organised and comfortable managing subcontractors
