Are you an experienced operational leader with a passion for driving performance and service quality across building services and maintenance contract operations? We’re looking for a dynamic Operations Manager / General Manager to take charge of a substantial contract delivering planned, reactive, and technical maintenance across a diverse portfolio.

The Role
As Operations Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading and developing the customer relationship. You will be the lead on negotiations, delivering service excellence across a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, supervisors, and tradespeople. You’ll be accountable for ensuring operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and commercial success

You’ll have autonomy to shape how we deliver — introducing best practice, improving systems and processes, and ensuring that our people and clients experience first-class service.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and motivate operational teams delivering building services, repairs, and maintenance projects across multiple sites.
• Build strong client relationships — acting as the main point of contact to ensure exceptional service delivery.
• Drive financial, profit and operational performance, including budget management, cost control, and margin improvement.
• Champion health, safety, and compliance across all operations.
• Identify opportunities for growth and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with senior leadership to develop long-term business strategies and customer partnerships.
About You
• Proven experience in a management or senior operations role within building services, FM, or repairs and maintenance.
• Strong leadership skills, able to engage, develop, and inspire teams to achieve great results.
• Commercially astute, with a clear understanding of budgets, contracts, and profitability.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both with clients and internal teams.
• A problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
