Our client is a leading UK main contractor with a turnover exceeding £700 million and a strong national presence. Over the past 25 years, they have built long-standing client relationships, resulting in a substantial secured order book and a strong pipeline of projects nationwide.

This opportunity sits within a well-established business unit operating across London and the South, delivering a wide range of refurbishment, remediation, retrofit, and building safety projects across both the public and private sectors. Their client base includes local authorities and housing associations, with projects spanning residential, student accommodation, and regeneration schemes.

The business is led by a highly experienced senior leadership team with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-quality projects.

The Role
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to deliver SHDF-funded retrofit and decarbonisation projects across North London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, often within occupied residential environments.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing day-to-day site operations on SHDF / retrofit schemes

* Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures

* Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour on site

* Delivering works in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations

* Overseeing retrofit measures such as insulation, windows/doors, roofing, and M&E upgrades

* Liaising with residents, clients, and project stakeholders

* Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Site Manager on retrofit, refurbishment, or social housing projects

* Experience delivering SHDF or similar decarbonisation schemes is highly desirable

* Understanding of PAS 2030 / PAS 2035 standards (advantageous)

* Experience working in occupied residential properties

* Strong organisational and communication skills

* SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualified
