A specialist construction contractor delivering large‑scale data centre facilities across Europe is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team in Germany.

The business operates as a delivery‑focused M&E contractor on mission‑critical data centre projects, managing complex building services packages on fast‑paced, high‑value schemes. With a strong pipeline of upcoming work, they are now looking to appoint a commercially strong Senior QS to take ownership of key packages.

The Role

You will lead the commercial management of M&E packages on data centre projects, working closely with project managers, engineers and site teams from pre‑construction through to final account.

This is a hands‑on senior role, suited to someone comfortable operating in technically complex, high‑pressure environments where programme certainty, cost control and change management are critical.

Key Responsibilities

* Full commercial responsibility for M&E packages on data centre projects

* Cost control, forecasting, cashflow and commercial reporting

* Managing variations, change control and contract administration

* Preparing and agreeing valuations and final accounts

* Supporting procurement and subcontractor commercial management

* Providing commercial advice to project and engineering teams

* Protecting margin and managing risk on complex projects

About You

You will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong M&E / building services background, confident managing commercial aspects of technically demanding projects.

Essential

* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor

* Strong background in M&E / building services

* Experience on large, complex construction projects

* Sound understanding of contracts, cost control and change management

* Confident working with multidisciplinary delivery teams

Highly Desirable

* Data centre or mission‑critical project experience

* Previous experience working on projects overseas

* Exposure to hyperscale, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing facilities
