Company Overview

Our client is an established specialist subcontractor with a growing Drylining & Ceilings division. The department is already well established within the business, with plans in place to continue expanding this side further.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join the team and play a key role in supporting the development of this division.

Role Overview

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for pricing and tendering drylining and ceiling packages, working closely with the commercial and senior management teams to help secure new work and support the continued growth of the department.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong drylining estimating experience who wants to join a business where they can have real input, take ownership of tenders and be involved in the growth of an already established division.

Key Responsibilities

Review tender enquiries, drawings, specifications and project documentation.
Prepare accurate take-offs and cost estimates for drylining and ceiling packages.
Price labour, materials, plant, subcontractor works and preliminaries.
Send out supplier and subcontractor enquiries and review quotations.
Prepare detailed tender submissions, including clarifications, exclusions and qualifications.
Liaise with clients, main contractors, suppliers and internal teams throughout the tender process.
Identify risks, opportunities and value engineering options within tenders.
Attend tender handover meetings with the commercial and operational teams.
Support post-tender negotiations and client queries.
Build strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and clients.
Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the Drylining & Ceilings division.Requirements

Previous experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within drylining and ceilings.
Strong knowledge of drylining, partitions, ceilings, wall linings, SFS and associated internal systems.
Experience working for a specialist subcontractor would be highly beneficial.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and tender documents.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of subcontractor pricing.
Confident preparing take-offs, estimates and tender returns.
Good attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Comfortable liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and relevant estimating/take-off software.Package
