A well‑established, forward‑thinking consultancy in Essex is seeking a Building Surveyor to join its growing team. This role offers a diverse workload, strong professional support and the chance to work on projects that genuinely improve local communities.

The role

You’ll take on a varied portfolio across public‑sector and education environments, including:

Housing disrepair inspections and detailed reporting

Preparing specifications for refurbishment and maintenance schemes

Contract administration from inception to completion

Supporting Housing, Local Authority and Education clients

Using AutoCAD to assist with drawings and technical documentation (ideal but not essential)

What you’ll bring

Solid Building Surveying experience, ideally with exposure to residential or public‑sector work

Strong technical writing skills and confidence producing specifications

Experience managing projects and communicating effectively with clients and contractors

A proactive, organised approach and a genuine interest in delivering high‑quality outcomes
