Overview
We are seeking a QA QC Engineer to support quality assurance and control across utility scale solar PV projects based in York.
This role will be working under a QA QC Manager, supporting the delivery of large scale EPC projects. You will play a key role in ensuring all works are completed in line with project specifications, standards, and compliance requirements.
The position is fully site based, 5 days per week with Saturday work available depending on programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Support implementation and maintenance of the project Quality Management System
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with QA QC standards and specifications
• Review and manage project documentation and inspection records
• Conduct site inspections and support testing activities
• Identify non conformities and assist with corrective and preventive actions
• Work closely with site teams, subcontractors and management to maintain quality standards
• Support reporting on quality performance to the QA QC Manager
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with health and safety and project procedures
Essential Requirements
• Experience in a QA QC role within solar, renewable or construction projects
• Background working on utility scale or ground mounted solar projects preferred
• Strong understanding of site quality processes and documentation
• Ability to work within an EPC environment
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Willingness to be site based full time in York
Desirable Qualifications
• Electrical or engineering background
• Previous experience working under a QA QC Manager
• Knowledge of testing and commissioning processes
