Setting Out Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a busy commercial construction project. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established team delivering a high-quality development from early-stage works through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

* Setting out for ground floor slab, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design specifications

* Overseeing and setting out drainage systems, including levels, gradients, and alignment

* Supporting and coordinating enabling works, including site preparation and initial infrastructure

* Setting out and monitoring external works, such as roads, kerbing, and landscaping elements

* Interpreting and working from technical drawings and site plans

* Carrying out regular quality checks and maintaining accurate site records

* Liaising with site managers, subcontractors, and survey teams to ensure smooth project delivery

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on commercial construction projects

* Strong knowledge of drainage, slabs, and external works

* Proficiency with surveying equipment (e.g. total stations, GPS)

* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings accurately

* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

* Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience
